"Old Rennes” unveils its medieval heritage. Brittany’s Parliament building, restored after the great fire of 1994, is a symbolic landmark with its beautifully-decorated rooms. For an original visit, explore the city’s little known nooks and crannies in the company of a guide. As you wend your way through the streets, you might be tempted by a spot of shopping or a drink on a terrace, unless you prefer the peaceful setting of Thabor Park. Make sure you also set eyes on the famous "Portes Mordelaises".
When night falls, let the party begin. Rue Saint-Michel, the famous “street of thirst”, will welcome you in for a drink. Rue Saint-Georges with its many restaurants offers cosmopolitan cuisine for every taste. And the performances at the Rennes Opera House and the Théâtre National de Bretagne, are as good as anything you can see in Paris.
